Talking or texting on a cell phone while driving has the potential to distract the driver and raises the risk of accidents. The National Highway Traffic and Safety Administration has several FAQ’s concerning cell phone useage while driving.

Although 96 percent of parents who use child safety seats, booster seats and safety belts to protect their children think they are doing it correctly, check ups continually show that 4 out of 5 unintentionally make mistakes that could result in their child being injured or killed in a crash. 

The FBI preliminary Uniform Crime Report (UCR) data reveals that motor vehicle theft is headed for an 8.9% decrease in 2007.  The final data will be released later this year. NICB has issued the Most Stolen Vehicles list based on data reported to NICB in 2007.
